Richard Rose, M.D.
Co-Founder, Board Chair, CEO, and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Rose is an experienced health care executive with broad experience in science, medicine and medical product development. He is a graduate of Yale College and the Harvard Medical School, where he was an associate professor of medicine and chief of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospitals. Dr. Rose is an adjunct associate professor of medicine at the UCSD School of Medicine. He served as vice president for drug development at Cytel Corporation. Dr. Rose was a managing director of MPM Capital from 1995 to 1996, and in this capacity he was responsible for biotechnology advisory and investment activities on the West Coast of the U.S. and in Japan. From 1996 to 2000, Dr. Rose was president and CEO of StemCells Inc., a public biotechnology company.
Corbet “Cory” Lancaster
Senior Vice President of Finance
Cory is a financial professional with more than 25 years of experience in an array of areas including economic damage analysis, business valuations, financial modeling, mergers and acquisitions, financial planning and analysis, strategic/long-range planning, internal controls/Sarbanes-Oxley implementation and compliance, managerial and financial reporting, and cash/working capital management.
Before joining Sommetrics, Cory was the vice president of finance for a $500 million value-added reseller for data center infrastructure from 2012 through 2016. He has been the vice president of finance, Americas, for ResMed (NYSE: RMD) from 2002 through 2010 and held executive and director level finance positions with venture-backed organizations and senior level finance positions at financial service firms including “Big 4” public accounting (Deloitte). Cory began his career with an economic consulting firm where he performed damage analysis for civil litigation.
Cory holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics from California State University, Fullerton and an MBA from Chapman University. He is a certified public accountant, certified valuation analyst, and has completed executive programs in strategy and organization, corporate strategy, financial management, and mergers and acquisitions from Stanford, University of Chicago, Wharton and UCLA.
