Today Sommetrics announced that it has enhanced its organizational capabilities with the appointment of three executives to its management team and the expansion of one executive’s role. “I am very pleased to have the opportunity to add several accomplished individuals to our management team,” said Dr. Richard Rose, Chief Executive Officer. “Their experience and skill will make significant contributions in bringing cNEP® technology to market.”

  • Deborah Schueren has assumed the role of Senior Advisor. Deborah has served as CEO and CFO for both public and private life science companies. She has over 25 years experience in corporate finance and developing corporate strategy, areas where she will advise Sommetrics. Deborah holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
  • HP Park has been named Vice President of Marketing for Sleep Products. HP brings over 20 years of marketing and business experience, with a focus on bringing innovative medical technologies to market. HP has worked with a diverse range of organizations, ranging from start-ups to large companies, including Medtronic, TheraSense (acquired by Abbott) and Clorox. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Chemistry with Honors and a BA in Economics from Stanford University.
  • Maya Tanaka has joined the company as Vice President of Program and Financial Management, bringing over 25 years of experience in pharmaceuticals and diagnostics development. Maya has served in leadership roles in a number of areas, including corporate partnerships, licensing, product and technology opportunity assessment, intellectual property, alliance management and R&D. She received her BS in Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley.

Dr. Dena Bravata, a Sommetrics Board Member, added “These individuals have extensive experience working with early stage companies and commercializing innovative technologies, making them excellent fits with Sommetrics. We welcome these important additions to our management team.”

In addition, the company announced an expanded role for Jan Barker, who has been appointed Senior Vice President of Operations. She will maintain her current role as General Manager of the Acute Care Products group and will now oversee quality systems, clinical operations, and manufacturing activities.
